We are currently seeking a motivated, energetic and inspiring Female PE Teacher to join a well-regarded and high-performing secondary school in West Yorkshire. This is a full-time, fixed-term position starting January 2026 (or earlier for the right candidate), offering an excellent opportunity to teach within a successful and well-resourced PE Department that places great emphasis on student participation, health and achievement.

About the Role
The school is seeking a Female PE Teacher due to the requirement to teach girls’ physical education. Responsibilities will include:
- Teaching PE across KS3 and KS4
- Planning and delivering high-quality, engaging lessons that promote fitness, skill development and confidence
- Leading girls’ PE sessions, teams and extracurricular activities
- Assessing and tracking student progress, providing constructive feedback
- Contributing to curriculum development and department initiatives
- Supporting school sports events, fixtures, tournaments and enrichment opportunities
- Being an active member of a supportive and collaborative faculty
This fixed-term contract may be extended or lead to future opportunities within the school.
Experience and Qualifications
- Degree in Physical Education or a related discipline
- PGCE with QTS
- Strong practical knowledge of a range of sports
- Excellent communication and behaviour management skills
- Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities
- Commitment to safeguarding and professional standards
Salary Paid to scale – MPS/UPS (depending on experience).
