A thriving secondary school in Southwark is looking to appoint an HR Officer to join its support staff team on a full-time, 12-month fixed-term contract from September 2026.

Working closely with school leaders, the successful candidate will help deliver a professional, efficient and people-focused HR service while contributing to a positive working culture.

The Role

The HR Officer will support the day-to-day operation of the school's HR function, ensuring processes are delivered accurately and in line with employment legislation and safeguarding requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing recruitment administration and coordinating interviews

  • Supporting onboarding, induction and pre-employment checks

  • Preparing contracts, offer letters and HR documentation

  • Maintaining accurate employee records and HR systems

  • Monitoring staff absence and supporting employee lifecycle processes

  • Providing HR support and guidance to managers and staff

  • Assisting with policy implementation and HR projects

The Successful Candidate

Salary & Benefits
