A popular primary school in Hounslow is seeking an energetic Year 4 Teacher to join the Key Stage 2 phase from January 2026. This Year 4 Teacher will plan and deliver well-sequenced curriculum units that develop pupils’ reasoning, fluency and written expression. The successful Year 4 Teacher will lead small-group interventions, contribute to year-group planning and support enrichment activities. The post will commence January 2026, with induction and planning sessions arranged before January 2026 so the Year 4 Teacher can begin the spring term confidently.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver sequenced Year 4 lessons that develop subject knowledge and application.
  • Use assessment evidence to identify priorities and lead targeted small-group teaching.
  • Work with teaching assistants to scaffold learning and adapt resources to suit different learners.
  • Contribute to moderation, curriculum planning and enrichment projects across the Hounslow school.
  • Maintain clear, timely communication with parents about pupil progress and next steps.
Person specification
  • Qualified teacher with strong KS2 experience and demonstrable Year 4 classroom impact.
  • Secure subject knowledge in English and mathematics and confident curriculum planning skills.
  • Excellent classroom routines, positive behaviour strategies and strong organisational ability.
  • Collaborative, proactive and enthusiastic about contributing to the Hounslow school community.
  • Available to start January 2026 and to attend induction before January 2026.
