The successful Year 3 Teacher will plan sequenced lessons to develop reading, writing and mathematics, lead guided-reading and group maths sessions, and run targeted interventions to accelerate progress. This Year 3 Teacher role starts January 2026, with induction and handover planned before January 2026 so the Year 3 Teacher can be ready for the spring term.

About the role
The Year 3 Teacher will create engaging, differentiated daily lessons, use assessment to identify next steps and deliver timely small-group support. The Year 3 Teacher will work with colleagues on moderation, maintain accurate records of progress and communicate effectively with families to support learning at home. The Hounslow setting offers strong CPD and a supportive leadership team for the Year 3 Teacher.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality Year 3 lessons that secure knowledge and application across the curriculum.
- Run targeted interventions informed by assessment and monitor the impact on pupil progress.
- Collaborate with teaching assistants to scaffold learning and support pupils with additional needs.
- Contribute to year-group planning, moderation and whole-school initiatives across Hounslow.
- Maintain clear communication with parents and participate in reporting cycles.
Person specification
- QTS or equivalent with successful experience in Key Stage 2 and Year 3 classroom practice.
- Strong subject knowledge, assessment literacy and the ability to design targeted interventions.
