We are seeking an enthusiastic, academically driven, and committed Physics Teacher to join the Science faculty at a successful Media and Technology College/Academy located in the Hounslow area of West London. This is a full-time, permanent position starting in January 2026.

The successful applicant will be an inspirational and highly effective Physics specialist who excels at demonstrating the practical, technological applications of physics (e.g., optics, sound, electricity) relevant to media, engineering, and digital industries. You will be joining a supportive environment where cross-curricular links with Media and DT are encouraged. This role focuses on outstanding classroom practice, particularly at the A-Level, and contributing to the department's consistent record of placing students in STEM and technology-related courses.

The Science department is well-resourced, committed to ensuring all students achieve their potential in Physics, and promoting a deep understanding of scientific principles that underpin modern technology. We Are Looking For:

  • A qualified teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
  • A relevant degree in Physics or a closely related discipline (e.g., Engineering, Electronics).
  • A proven track record as an excellent Physics Teacher with mandatory experience teaching the subject to Key Stage 5 (A-Level).
  • An ability to link theoretical physics concepts to real-world technology, particularly in media and computing.

Salary and Benefits

  • Main Pay Scale/Upper Pay Scale (MPS/UPS) for Teachers.
  • The base salary will be paid according to experience within the statutory Outer London Pay Scale (The Outer London Main Pay Range minimum is approximately Β£37,870 as of September 2025).
  • A fixed Recruitment and Retention (R&R) Allowance of Β£2,000 per annum.
  • Excellent, structured professional development and career progression pathways.
