A welcoming primary school in Hounslow is seeking a skilled LKS2 teacher to join the lower KS2 team from January 2026. The LKS2 teacher will plan sequenced units that secure knowledge, deliver guided-reading and maths sessions, and run timely interventions to accelerate progress. This LKS2 teacher post in Hounslow begins January 2026, with induction and planning sessions scheduled prior to January 2026 so the LKS2 teacher can be classroom-ready.

  • LKS2 teacher to teach across Years 3 and 4 and to lead targeted provision

The LKS2 teacher will work closely with phase colleagues to moderate standards, develop resources and ensure continuity across Years 3 and 4. In Hounslow, the LKS2 teacher will be part of a reflective team with clear CPD pathways and opportunities to lead small-scale improvements.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver sequenced LKS2 lessons that build knowledge, fluency and reasoning.
  • Implement assessment-informed interventions and monitor their impact on progress.
  • Collaborate on year-group planning and contribute to moderation across Hounslow.
  • Support teaching assistants with targeted delivery and resource preparation.
  • Communicate learning outcomes to parents and contribute to reporting cycles.
Person specification
  • Qualified teacher with strong experience in LKS2 practice and the ability to work flexibly across Years 3–4.
  • Excellent planning, behaviour and assessment skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Ready to begin in Hounslow and available to start January 2026.
