Key Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day pupil attendance tracking and maintain accurate records using school management systems

Conduct first-day absence calls and follow up on unexplained pupil absences promptly

Coordinate with parents, carers, and external local authority inclusion teams to address persistent absence

Prepare attendance data, audit-ready reports, and summaries for the Senior Leadership Team

Organize attendance panel meetings and implement rewards to celebrate positive pupil attendance

Maintain compliance with statutory safeguarding and attendance reporting regulations

Provide compassionate, professional support to families facing barriers to regular school attendance

Support the smooth day-to-day administrative running of the pastoral department
