A highly regarded school in Hounslow is seeking a caring, patient and dedicated ASD Teaching Assistant to join its team on a full-time basis, with an ASAP start. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and helping them access learning in a positive, structured and inclusive environment.
About the Role
The successful ASD Teaching Assistant will provide tailored support to pupils with autism, working closely with teachers and other support staff to meet individual needs and encourage progress. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing one-to-one and small-group support
- Supporting pupils with ASD to access the curriculum
- Helping pupils develop communication, social and independence skills
- Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement
- Following individual support strategies and learning plans
- Working closely with teachers, SEN staff and families where appropriate
