We are seeking an enthusiastic, highly skilled, and committed Physics Teacher to join the core faculty at a successful University Technical College (UTC) specializing in Engineering and Science, located in the Hounslow area of West London. This is a full-time, permanent position.
Physics Teacher required for a full-time, permanent position starting as soon as possible. Specialist UTC (Ages 14-19) in Hounslow, Outer London. Teach Physics across Key Stages 4 and 5 (KS4/KS5), with a strong emphasis on A-Level and BTEC Applied Science/Engineering.
The successful applicant will be an inspirational Physics specialist dedicated to demonstrating the real-world application of scientific principles, particularly those relevant to engineering, technology, and advanced manufacturing. You will be joining an innovative environment that works closely with university and industry partners. This role requires mandatory experience teaching Physics to A-Level and a genuine enthusiasm for incorporating project-based learning and technical skills into the curriculum.
This UTC is distinguished by its practical, employer-led curriculum and state-of-the-art facilities, designed to prepare students directly for technical careers or higher apprenticeships/degrees in STEM fields. The Science faculty works collaboratively with the Engineering and Technology departments. We Are Looking For:
- A qualified teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or significant industry/technical instruction experience.
- A relevant degree in Physics, Engineering Physics, or a closely related discipline.
- Mandatory proven track record teaching Physics to Key Stage 5 (A-Level) and/or BTEC Science/Engineering.
- Experience integrating practical applications, data analysis, and technical problem-solving into the curriculum.
- The drive to mentor and guide students toward technical career pathways.
Salary and Benefits:
- Main Pay Scale/Upper Pay Scale (MPS/UPS) for Teachers.
- The base salary will be paid according to experience within the statutory Outer London Pay Scale (The Outer London Main Pay Range minimum is approximately £37,870 as of September 2025).
- A fixed Recruitment and Retention (R&R) Allowance of £2,000 per annum.
