The Opportunity
We are looking to register experienced and enthusiastic History Teachers for daily supply opportunities across Surrey. This is not a permanent or full-time position. Instead, teachers will be offered day-to-day supply assignments based on their availability, experience, preferred locations and the requirements of local schools. Assignments can range from individual cover days to short blocks, providing flexibility while allowing you to continue supporting students' learning and development.
The Role
As a Daily Supply History Teacher, you will deliver engaging and well-structured lessons that encourage students to develop their understanding of the past and think critically about historical events.
- Lesson Delivery: Deliver clear and engaging History lessons across the relevant Key Stages, following existing lesson plans and curriculum resources where provided.
- Historical Understanding: Support students in developing their knowledge of key historical periods, events, individuals and themes.
- Critical Thinking: Encourage students to analyse historical evidence, consider different interpretations and develop well-supported arguments.
- Classroom Management: Maintain a calm, respectful and purposeful learning environment where students remain focused and engaged.
- Professional Responsibilities: Follow school policies, communicate effectively with colleagues and maintain a high standard of professionalism throughout each assignment.
