Start Date: September 2026

Contract: Full-time or Part-time, Permanent

Salary: Paid to scale (MPS/UPS)

Set in the heart of historic Warwickshire, close to Warwick Castle and Shakespeare's Stratford-upon-Avon, this 11-18 secondary school is seeking a History Teacher to join its successful Humanities faculty. The role is open to both full-time and part-time applicants, offering flexibility for candidates at different stages of their careers.

You will teach History across Key Stage 3, with opportunities to teach GCSE and, depending on experience, A-level History (exam board flexible to reflect the successful candidate's specialism). The department makes strong use of the area's rich heritage, and you will be encouraged to plan visits to local historic sites as part of an enriching curriculum. Other responsibilities include contributing to departmental planning and resource development, supporting whole-school enrichment activities such as Duke of Edinburgh, and maintaining accurate records of student progress.

School Information

This well-established 11-18 school has a strong academic reputation and a large, successful sixth form. The Humanities faculty is well-resourced and known for its use of local heritage sites to bring history to life for students. Staff speak highly of the school's collaborative culture, with regular opportunities for joint planning and shared CPD across the faculty. The school's setting, among some of England's most significant historic landmarks, offers a genuinely distinctive backdrop for teaching History.
