The Role
Teach inspiring History lessons: Deliver well-planned lessons across KS3, GCSE and selected sixth-form classes.
Develop historical understanding: Encourage students to analyse evidence, interpretations and historical change.
Support enrichment: Organise talks, trips, workshops and history-related extracurricular activities.
Use varied resources: Incorporate source material, technology and discussion to deepen learning.
Contribute to assessment: Mark work accurately and provide constructive feedback to students.
Promote independent study: Encourage students to research, question and present historical arguments.
The Candidate
History specialist: Demonstrates strong subject knowledge across a broad historical curriculum.
Qualified teacher: Holds QTS or an equivalent qualification.

Independent school experience: Previous experience in an independent or selective setting would be useful.
