We are delighted to invite applications for a dedicated and inspiring Year 6 Teacher to join our inclusive and supportive school community in High Wycombe. This is a key role within the school and offers a rewarding opportunity to support pupils during their final year of primary education as they prepare for the transition to secondary school. As a Year 6 teacher, you will deliver high-quality teaching across the curriculum, with a strong focus on literacy, numeracy, and developing pupils’ confidence and independence. You will create a calm, structured, and positive classroom environment where pupils feel supported and motivated to achieve their best. Assessment will play a central role in your practice. You will track progress carefully, identify gaps in learning, and deliver targeted interventions to support pupil outcomes. Experience with SATs preparation is desirable, and you will work closely with colleagues across Upper Key Stage 2 to ensure consistency and continuity.
You will be supported by experienced teaching assistants, the SEN team, and senior leaders to ensure all pupils, including those with SEND or EAL, receive the support they need. Building strong partnerships with parents and carers is also highly valued, and you will be encouraged to communicate openly and positively with families.
