About the Role
We are seeking a reliable, hands-on, and proactive Site Manager to take charge of the security, maintenance, and general upkeep of our school premises in Buckinghamshire.
You will be vital in ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors, overseeing both day-to-day site operations and long-term facilities projects.
Key Responsibilities

Premises Maintenance: Manage routine repairs, general maintenance, and minor building works (plumbing, carpentry, painting, etc.) to keep the site in top condition.

Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure full compliance with statutory regulations, including fire safety checks, legionella testing, asbestos management, and COSHH audits.

Security & Access: Oversee school security systems, act as a keyholder, manage out-of-hours call-outs, and supervise site access control.

Contractor Management: Coordinate external contractors, obtain quotes for specialized maintenance, and oversee site projects to ensure quality and safety standards are met.

Team Leadership: Supervise cleaning and site support staff, managing rotas, task allocation, and performance.
Requirements & Qualifications

Experience: Proven background in facilities management, premises maintenance, or a related trade (e.g., building, carpentry, general construction).

Compliance Knowledge: Sound understanding of health and safety legislation, fire regulations, and school security protocols.

Skills: Strong practical DIY/maintenance skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.

Requirements: A full UK driving license and a willingness to participate in emergency call-out rotas when required.
