A well-established secondary school in Hertford is looking to appoint a dedicated Religious Education Teacher to join its successful Humanities department from September. This is a fantastic opportunity to teach within a department that encourages thoughtful discussion, critical thinking and a genuine appreciation of different beliefs, values and cultures.
The successful candidate will teach Religious Education across KS3 and KS4, with the opportunity to teach A-Level Religious Studies. Students explore a wide range of topics including Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, philosophy, ethics and contemporary moral issues, developing analytical skills that prepare them for further study and life beyond school.
The Humanities department works collaboratively to create engaging schemes of work and regularly organises enrichment opportunities including guest speakers, debates, charity projects and educational visits that encourage students to broaden their understanding of the world.
