We are seeking a motivated, energetic and inspiring Music ECT to join a successful Performing Arts department within an Outstanding school in Hertfordshire. As a Music Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging, creative and performance-led lessons across KS3, KS4 and KS5. This role offers a superb platform for a Newly Qualified Music Teacher to develop their classroom practice and subject expertise in a highly supportive environment.

The department benefits from outstanding facilities including rehearsal rooms, performance spaces and specialist music technology resources. Students are highly enthusiastic about Music and actively participate in performances, choirs, bands and instrumental ensembles.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Degree in Music or related creative discipline
  • PGCE with QTS
  • Training to teach Music to KS3/4 and ideally KS5
  • Strong practical musicianship and classroom presence
  • Enthusiasm for extracurricular music and student enrichment

Salary

The salary for this Music ECT position will be paid to scale in line with MPS1.
