Role Overview
As Food Technician, you will play a key role in supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the Food Technology department. You will be responsible for preparing ingredients and equipment for lessons, ensuring food hygiene standards are met at all times, and maintaining a safe, clean and organised teaching environment. You will work closely with teaching staff to ensure lessons are well resourced and ready for delivery. Your duties will include:
- Setting up practical sessions
- Managing stock and ordering supplies
- Washing and storing equipment
- Monitoring food safety procedures
- Supporting students during practical lessons when required
- Helping with displays and inventory management
- Maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations
