Site Supervisor
A well-established Secondary School in Hereford is seeking a dependable and proactive Site Supervisor to join its premises team on a full-time, permanent basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied, practical role and takes pride in maintaining a safe, secure and welcoming school environment. The successful candidate will play an important part in ensuring the school's buildings and grounds remain in excellent condition, allowing students and staff to work within a high-quality learning environment every day.
Working closely with the Premises Manager and School Business Manager, you will be responsible for opening and securing the school site, carrying out daily inspections and responding promptly to maintenance requests. You will complete minor repairs, monitor the condition of classrooms and communal areas and ensure all facilities remain clean, safe and fully operational throughout the academic year.
The role includes supervising contractors, supporting planned preventative maintenance programmes, assisting with statutory compliance checks and ensuring all work is completed in accordance with current health and safety legislation. You will prepare facilities for examinations, assemblies, parents' evenings, performances and community lettings while maintaining the school's external grounds to an excellent standard.
You will also assist with deliveries, move furniture and equipment where required, monitor site security and identify opportunities to improve the school's facilities through preventative maintenance and ongoing site improvements.
The successful candidate will possess strong practical skills, excellent organisational abilities and the confidence to work independently while maintaining consistently high standards.

Requirements
Previous Site Supervisor, Caretaker or Facilities experience desirable
Good practical maintenance and repair skills
Knowledge of health and safety procedures
