This is a crucial support role dedicated to ensuring the smooth and safe delivery of high-quality practical lessons for both students and staff.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate closely with science teachers to prepare and set up equipment and materials for practical lessons.
Safely maintain, store, and repair laboratory resources and equipment.
Act as a safety advisor, guiding pupils and staff on proper protocols, regulations, and safe working practices.
Oversee stock levels and place timely orders for new materials and replacements.
Ensure the safe and compliant disposal of hazardous laboratory waste.
The Ideal Candidate
Valid right to work in the UK.
A clear and up-to-date Enhanced DBS check.
A UK Science Degree (or recognized overseas equivalent).
A strong working knowledge of Health & Safety standards.
Previous experience working in a laboratory setting or as a school Science Technician in the UK.
