Business Teaching Role in a Secondary School
A well-established secondary school in Hemel Hempstead is seeking to appoint a Business Teacher to join its department from September. This is a full-time role within a supportive and ambitious school that values enterprise, analytical thinking, and high-quality teaching.

About the Role
You will teach Business across Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5, delivering engaging and well-structured lessons that develop students’ understanding of key business principles and real-world commercial practice.
Students will study areas including marketing, finance, operations, human resources, enterprise, and business strategy while developing analytical, evaluative, and decision-making skills.
You will prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Business examinations, supporting them in building confidence with case study analysis, extended writing, and exam technique.
You will work collaboratively within a successful department to maintain high standards of teaching and learning.
Key Responsibilities
Teach Business across KS4 and KS5
Deliver engaging and structured Business lessons
Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Business examinations
Assess student work and provide clear, constructive feedback
Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records
Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental development
Support enterprise and enrichment opportunities
Maintain high standards of classroom behaviour and engagement

Candidate Requirements
Essential Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching Business at secondary or sixth form level
Ability to teach KS4 confidently
Strong subject knowledge in Business Studies
Strong classroom management and communication skills
Desirable
Experience teaching A-Level Business
Experience preparing students for GCSE and A-Level examinations
Ability to contribute to enterprise or enrichment programmes
