We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Physics to lead and inspire a thriving department with strong GCSE and A-level outcomes. This is an exciting opportunity to take charge of a department that prides itself on outstanding academic achievement and fostering a love of learning.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience teaching A-level Physics with a track record of strong student outcomes at GCSE and A-level
- Minimum 2:1 degree in Physics or a closely related field
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) essential
- Demonstrable leadership skills and experience in managing a successful team
- Passionate about promoting confidence, creativity, and leadership in students
Role Responsibilities:
- Lead the Physics department, setting high standards for teaching and learning
- Deliver inspiring lessons that challenge and engage students at KS4 and KS5
- Drive continued academic success and departmental development
- Support students to achieve excellent results and develop lifelong skills
- Collaborate with senior leadership and other departments to contribute to whole-school initiatives
