We are seeking an enthusiastic, ambitious, and committed History Teacher to join the thriving Humanities faculty at an Outstanding Ofsted-rated secondary academy in the London Borough of Merton. This is a full-time, permanent position starting in January 2026.

The successful applicant will be an inspirational and highly effective History specialist, ideally with a focus on Modern History, and the drive to excel within a supportive, high-achieving environment. We Are Looking For:

  • A qualified teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
  • A proven track record as an excellent History Teacher (with a specialist interest in Modern History and the ability to teach a broad curriculum to at least KS4).
  • A genuine passion for the subject and the ability to inspire students of all abilities to engage with the past and understand its contemporary relevance.
  • The experience or ambition to take on a key area of responsibility within the department.
  • The drive to uphold and contribute to the academy’s Outstanding standards.

Salary and Benefits:

  • Main Pay Scale/Upper Pay Scale (MPS/UPS) for Inner London Teachers (currently £40,317 - £62,496 for 2025/2026).
