A high-achieving 11–18 secondary school in Warwickshire is seeking an experienced and ambitious Head of Geography to lead its successful department from January 2026. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented teacher with vision, enthusiasm and leadership potential to shape the strategic direction of a thriving subject area. You will lead curriculum design, manage a team of passionate teachers, and continue to deliver excellent classroom practice across Key Stages 3–5. The role also includes developing fieldwork provision, monitoring outcomes and supporting staff CPD.
The Department and Facilities: Geography is one of the most popular and high-performing subjects in the school, with strong results and consistently high student engagement. The department enjoys modern classrooms, interactive learning technology and access to a wide range of physical and digital resources. Fieldwork is an integral part of the curriculum — recent studies have included coastal and urban field trips as well as international expeditions. The department works closely with other Humanities subjects to embed cross-curricular learning around sustainability, globalisation and culture.
