Are you an adaptable Year 2 Teacher who enjoys creating engaging, knowledge-rich lessons for young learners? A lively primary school in Wembley is recruiting a Year 2 Teacher to join their KS1 team from January 2026. The Year 2 Teacher will plan coherent units that build reading fluency, confident number sense and foundational writing skills. This Year 2 Teacher role in Wembley includes leading guided-reading groups, running targeted maths and phonics interventions and contributing to phase moderation. Induction and comprehensive handover will be provided prior to January 2026 so the Year 2 Teacher can begin the spring term prepared.

Role responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver progressive Year 2 lessons that develop vocabulary, comprehension and calculation skills.
  • Lead small-group tuition, track impact and refine programmes to secure rapid progress across Wembley.

  • Maintain clear communication with families and contribute to reporting and review meetings.
