Sociology Teacher – Harlow
Our client is currently seeking a passionate and committed Sociology Teacher to join a successful school in Harlow from September. The successful candidate will have strong subject knowledge and a genuine enthusiasm for helping students understand society, social behaviour, culture, inequality, and the factors that influence people's lives.
The role will involve teaching Sociology at KS4 and KS5, with responsibility for planning and delivering high-quality lessons that encourage students to develop their knowledge, critical thinking, analysis, and evaluation skills.
The successful teacher will be expected to create an engaging classroom environment where students are encouraged to consider different sociological perspectives and apply their knowledge to contemporary and real-world examples.
You will contribute to the planning and development of the Sociology curriculum and work alongside colleagues within the wider Social Sciences department. Assessment and feedback will form an important part of the role, with the successful candidate expected to monitor progress and identify areas where students may require additional support.

Experience and Qualifications:
Sociology Teacher with the ability to teach KS4 and KS5
Formal teaching qualification with QTS, such as a PGCE
Strong knowledge of Sociology and relevant examination specifications
Ability to encourage critical thinking and independent learning
Strong communication and organisational abilities
Commitment to student progress and achievement
Legal ability to work within the UK
