Our Client is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Psychology Teacher to join a successful secondary school in Harlow. This is an excellent opportunity for a committed educator who is passionate about Psychology and enjoys helping young people develop their understanding of human behaviour, mental processes and the world around them.
The successful candidate will be expected to plan and deliver engaging lessons that challenge students while making complex psychological theories and concepts accessible to learners. You will be responsible for creating a positive classroom environment in which students feel confident asking questions, discussing ideas and developing their analytical and evaluative skills.
The Psychology Department is well supported and benefits from a collaborative team of teachers who are committed to achieving strong academic outcomes. The successful applicant will be expected to contribute positively to departmental planning, assessment and the wider development of the subject.
The school is keen to hear from both experienced Psychology Teachers and ECTs who are looking for a supportive environment in which to develop their teaching. Applications from overseas teachers with a recognised formal teaching qualification are also welcomed, subject to UK work eligibility.

Experience and Qualifications

Psychology Teacher with strong subject knowledge

Ability to teach Psychology effectively across the appropriate Key Stages

Excellent understanding of psychological theories, research methods and evaluation

Ability to plan and deliver stimulating and differentiated lessons

Strong classroom management and behaviour management skills

Experience assessing and monitoring student progress

A formal teaching qualification with QTS, such as a PGCE
-
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to motivate students and encourage independent learning

Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education

Legal ability to work within the UK
