Role: Teacher of History - KS3-KS5
Location: Harlow, Essex
Contract: Full-time, permanent

Salary: MPS/UPS, dependent on experience
A secondary academy with a sixth form in Harlow is seeking a History Teacher who can deliver engaging lessons and develop pupils' ability to analyse evidence, evaluate interpretations and construct persuasive historical arguments.
The Role
Teach History across KS3 and KS4, with potential KS5 classes depending on experience.
Deliver a balanced curriculum covering historical events, individuals and societies.
Develop source analysis, extended writing and independent study skills.
Support GCSE and, where relevant, A-Level examination preparation.
Contribute to departmental planning, assessment and moderation.
The Candidate
Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised qualification.
Has strong subject knowledge and an enthusiasm for historical enquiry.
Can support pupils with different academic starting points.
Maintains clear expectations and a positive classroom culture.
