Pastoral Support Officer | ASAP Start | Hampshire

We’re working with a welcoming school in Hampshire that is looking for a Pastoral Support Officer to join the team on an ASAP basis.

This would suit someone who enjoys working with young people and is confident providing pastoral, emotional and behavioural support within a school environment. You’ll play an important role in helping pupils feel supported, engaged and ready to learn.

The Role

You’ll work closely with teachers and the wider pastoral team to support pupils throughout the school day. This will include:

• Providing day-to-day pastoral support to pupils

• Helping pupils manage behavioural or emotional challenges

• Building positive relationships with students

• Supporting attendance, engagement and wellbeing

• Working with teachers and other staff to address concerns

• Helping maintain a calm and positive school environment

• Following safeguarding and school policies

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience supporting children or young people

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• A calm, patient and approachable manner

• Confidence managing challenging situations

• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils

• A proactive and reliable approach

• Available to start ASAP
