A well-regarded secondary school in the Hampshire area is seeking an enthusiastic and organised Examinations Officer to join its team on a full-time, permanent basis from September 2026.

This is a rewarding opportunity to take ownership of a vital function within the school, ensuring examinations are planned and delivered to the highest standards. Working with staff across the school, you'll help create a calm, professional, and supportive examination experience that allows students to perform at their very best.

The Role

You'll lead the administration of all examinations, ensuring every stage of the process is delivered efficiently and in full accordance with national regulations.

Key duties include:

  • Managing examination entries, amendments, and candidate records

  • Producing examination timetables and rooming arrangements

  • Overseeing the recruitment, scheduling, and supervision of invigilators

  • Ensuring compliance with JCQ and awarding body regulations

  • Working alongside the SEND team to coordinate access arrangements

  • Maintaining the secure storage and handling of confidential examination materials

  • Coordinating results days and post-results enquiries

The Successful Candidate

Applications are welcomed from experienced Examinations Officers, Exams Administrators, School Administrators, Office Managers, or candidates with strong administrative experience looking to move into education.

You'll be highly organised, confident working with confidential information, and capable of managing multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail. Previous examinations experience is desirable but not essential, as full training can be provided.

As part of the school's safer recruitment procedures, references from your current (or most recent) employer and a previous employer will be required before an interview can be arranged.

Salary & Benefits

  • Β£27,780–£30,564 FTE (pro rata: Β£24,371–£26,814)

  • Full-time, permanent position

  • September 2026 start

  • 37 hours per week, 40 weeks per year
