The successful candidate will assist with routine site inspections, minor repairs, equipment maintenance and general premises duties. Role Overview
As School Site Technician, you will help ensure that the school buildings, grounds and equipment remain safe, functional and well maintained. You will undertake routine checks, identify faults, complete minor repairs and report any maintenance concerns requiring specialist attention.
You will also assist with preparing rooms for school activities, moving furniture and equipment, monitoring external areas and supporting contractors when necessary. The ideal candidate will be organised, proactive and comfortable working independently while following health and safety procedures and school policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine inspections of school buildings and grounds.
- Complete minor repairs and general maintenance tasks.
- Identify and report faults, damage and potential hazards.
- Check doors, windows, locks and fixtures for defects.
- Assist with maintaining classrooms, corridors and communal areas.
- Support the setup and rearrangement of rooms for school activities.
- Move furniture, equipment and supplies safely.
- Monitor the condition of outdoor areas, pathways and entrances.
- Assist with deliveries and the movement of materials.
- Support authorised contractors working on the premises.
