About the School
An elite and well-established school in Guildford is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee the smooth day-to-day operation of its buildings and grounds.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe, secure and well-presented school environment while coordinating maintenance and facilities requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Overseeing daily facilities operations.
Managing maintenance requirements across the school site.
Coordinating contractors and external suppliers.
Carrying out regular site inspections.
Monitoring health and safety compliance.
Supporting fire safety procedures.
Monitoring building services and facilities.
Recording and reporting defects.
Supporting security and access procedures.
Managing deliveries and contractor access.
Assisting with emergency procedures.
Supporting school events and room setups.
Maintaining accurate facilities records.
Requirements
Previous experience managing facilities within a school or educational setting is essential.
Strong facilities or premises management experience.
Good understanding of health and safety.
Experience managing contractors.
Strong organisational skills.
Excellent problem-solving ability.
Professional and proactive approach.
Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one.
