A two-form entry primary school in Great Yarmouth is looking to appoint a Year 1 Teacher for the new academic year. The school is seeking a teacher who can make the transition from Reception to Key Stage 1 engaging, structured and supportive.
The Role
Teach a Year 1 class and deliver the Key Stage 1 curriculum.
Plan phonics, reading, writing and mathematics lessons.
Use practical resources to reinforce early learning and understanding.
Assess pupils’ progress and adapt activities accordingly.
Work with the parallel class teacher and support staff to maintain consistent provision.
The Candidate
Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
Has knowledge of early reading and phonics teaching.
Can create a warm, structured and inclusive classroom.
Uses differentiation to support pupils at different stages of development.
Works constructively with colleagues and families.
