Role: Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages - KS3-KS4
Location: Great Yarmouth, Norfolk
Contract: Full-time, one-year fixed-term
Start Date: January 2027
Salary: MPS/UPS, dependent on experience
A secondary academy in Great Yarmouth is seeking an MFL Teacher for a one-year fixed-term appointment beginning in January 2027. The school is looking for someone who can make language learning accessible, develop pupils' communication skills and support progress towards GCSE qualifications.
The Role
- Teach French and/or Spanish across KS3 and KS4.
- Deliver structured lessons in vocabulary, grammar and communication.
- Develop pupils' confidence in listening, speaking, reading and writing.
- Prepare GCSE classes for examinations and speaking assessments.
- Monitor pupil progress and provide targeted feedback.
- Work with colleagues to maintain consistent curriculum and assessment practices.
The Candidate
- Holds QTS and has strong subject knowledge in French, Spanish or another relevant language.
- Can engage pupils through varied and purposeful teaching strategies.
- Demonstrates effective classroom management and organisation.
- Is committed to helping pupils make measurable progress.
