This is a key leadership role within the school, responsible for driving inclusive practice, ensuring high-quality provision for pupils with additional needs, and maintaining full compliance with statutory SEND requirements.

The Role
- Leading and developing the school’s SEND provision across KS3 and KS4 (with KS5 where applicable)

- Line managing teaching assistants and SEND support staff
- Working closely with parents, carers, and external professionals

- Monitoring the impact of interventions and reporting to senior leaders and Governors

The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- The National Award for SEN Coordination (or willingness to complete)
- Proven experience leading or contributing to SEND provision in a secondary setting
- Strong knowledge of statutory SEND frameworks and compliance requirements
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- The ability to balance strategic oversight with hands-on pupil support
- A calm, empathetic, and organised leadership style
