A forward-thinking 11-18 academy in the West Midlands is seeking a part-time Geography Teacher to join its Humanities faculty. This role would suit a teacher who is interested in exploring how geography can help students understand and engage with the urban environment they live in.

You will teach Geography across Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5 (AQA), with a curriculum that places particular emphasis on urban geography, regeneration, and sustainability, reflecting the school's location. The role includes supporting sixth-form Geography students, contributing to enrichment days that explore local urban issues, and maintaining accurate assessment records. You will also be expected to contribute to department planning meetings and to support whole-school sustainability initiatives where relevant.

Requirements

  • Degree in Geography and QTS

  • Strong subject knowledge across KS3-5; A-level experience desirable

  • Interest in urban geography, regeneration, and sustainability

  • Confidence contributing to curriculum development within a Humanities faculty

  • A flexible, collaborative approach suited to a part-time role
