An Outstanding Secondary School in Hillingdon is seeking to appoint an experienced and proactive Facilities Manager to oversee the school's buildings, grounds, services, and facilities operations. About the Role
The successful Facilities Manager will take responsibility for the effective day-to-day management of the school's facilities, ensuring all buildings, grounds, systems, and services operate safely and efficiently. Working closely with the School Business Manager and Senior Leadership Team, you will oversee planned and reactive maintenance, contractor management, statutory compliance, health and safety, site security, and facilities budgets. You will also coordinate maintenance schedules and support longer-term estates projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operation of the school's facilities and premises
- Oversee planned preventative and reactive maintenance
- Manage contractors and external service providers
- Ensure statutory inspections and compliance checks are completed
- Maintain accurate health and safety and facilities documentation
- Monitor facilities budgets and expenditure
- Oversee site security, access control, and emergency procedures
- Support estates projects and improvements across the school site
