A nurturing primary school in Neasden, North West London is seeking a caring and enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys supporting young children during their earliest years of learning in a play-based, stimulating environment. The EYFS TA will work with children aged 3–5 years, helping them develop academically, socially, and emotionally in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. The school encourages creativity, curiosity, and independence, ensuring every child feels supported and confident in their learning journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the class teacher in delivering EYFS lessons and activities
- Work with individual children and small groups to support learning
- Assist with phonics, early numeracy, literacy, and creative play
- Promote positive behaviour, confidence, and emotional wellbeing
- Support children with personal care where required (toileting, meals, dressing)
- Observe, assess, and record children’s learning and development
- Prepare and maintain engaging classroom resources and learning areas
- Support indoor and outdoor learning activities
- Encourage independence, confidence, and social interaction
- Build strong, positive relationships with children, staff, and parents

Essential Requirements
- Experience working in an EYFS, nursery, or early years setting
- Understanding of the EYFS framework
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
- Right to work in the UK
Desirable (Not Essential)
- Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years or Childcare qualification
- Experience supporting SEN within EYFS
- Paediatric First Aid or Safeguarding training
