A nurturing primary school in Hayes, West London is seeking a caring and enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years team. Key Responsibilities

  • Support the class teacher in delivering EYFS lessons and activities
  • Work with individual children and small groups to support learning
  • Assist with phonics, early numeracy, literacy, and creative play
  • Promote positive behaviour, self-confidence, and emotional wellbeing
  • Support children with personal care when required (toileting, meals, dressing)
  • Observe, assess, and record children’s development in line with EYFS expectations
  • Prepare classroom resources and learning areas
  • Support indoor and outdoor learning activities
  • Foster independence, confidence, and social interaction
  • Build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents

Essential Requirements

  • Experience working in an EYFS, nursery, or early years setting
  • Knowledge of the EYFS framework
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
  • Right to work in the UK

Desirable (Not Essential)

  • Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years or Childcare qualification
  • Experience supporting SEN within EYFS
  • Paediatric First Aid or Safeguarding training
