A dynamic, high-achieving secondary school near Exeter, Cornwall, is looking for a resilient and motivated Teaching Assistant to support students primarily in Key Stage 3 and 4 core subjects (English, Maths, Science).
Full-time, term-time role commencing January 2026. Based in a modern secondary school setting near the Cornish coast. Focus on in-class differentiation, exam access arrangements, and low-level behaviour support.
You will work across different subject faculties, supporting students both inside and outside the classroom. This position requires someone who can quickly build rapport with adolescents and effectively manage individual learning needs in a busy secondary environment.
Requirements and Qualifications- Previous experience working with secondary-age students (age 11-16) is essential.
- High level of literacy and numeracy (GCSE Grade C/4 or equivalent).
- Familiarity with strategies for supporting students with moderate learning difficulties or challenging behaviour.
- A proactive and adaptable approach to different classroom settings.
