A successful Secondary School in Exeter is looking to appoint an experienced and proactive Premises Manager to lead the management of its buildings, grounds and facilities. This is an exciting opportunity for a facilities professional who enjoys leading a team while ensuring students and staff benefit from a safe, secure and well-maintained learning environment.
Working alongside the School Business Manager and Senior Leadership Team, you will oversee all aspects of site management, ensuring statutory compliance, coordinating maintenance programmes and managing external contractors. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining the school's excellent facilities while supporting future improvement projects.

Responsibilities
- Managing the daily operation of the school site.
- Leading the premises and cleaning teams.
- Coordinating planned and reactive maintenance.
- Managing external contractors and service providers.
- Overseeing statutory health and safety compliance.
- Monitoring fire safety systems and emergency procedures.
- Managing premises budgets and maintenance schedules.
- Conducting regular site inspections.
- Maintaining compliance records and documentation.
- Preparing facilities for school events and community use.
- Monitoring site security and access arrangements.
- Planning future site improvement projects.
- Supporting sustainability and energy efficiency initiatives.
- Ensuring the school site remains safe, secure and welcoming.
- Reporting directly to the School Business Manager.
