Job Overview
This welcoming school boasts a modern drama studio and performance theater space. The successful applicant will teach engaging practical and theoretical Drama lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (GCSE / Vocational Performing Arts), with potential Key Stage 5 A-Level teaching for a suitably qualified candidate.
Working closely with the Expressive Arts team, you will guide pupils through acting techniques, script analysis, devizing, and stage production skills. This is a full-time, permanent role suited to an energetic, creative, and proactive educator.
Key Responsibilities

Teach inspiring Drama and Performing Arts lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (GCSE/Vocational)

Direct and resource practical workshops focusing on vocal projection, physical theater, improvisational skills, and text analysis

Co-direct annual whole-school musical productions, showcase evenings, and regional drama festivals

Manage studio lighting, sound systems, props, and costume resources in coordination with technical staff

Track and evaluate pupil progress across practical performances and written coursework components

Serve as a Form Tutor, contributing to the pastoral care and overall development of your assigned year group

Organize theater trips and external workshops with professional arts companies to enrich the curriculum

Support the day-to-day operations and growth of the Expressive Arts department

Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidate will feature:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or recognized UK teaching credentials (PGCE / SCITT)
