Art & Design Teacher

A thriving Secondary School in Exeter is seeking a professional and highly organised Art & Design Teacher to join their experienced and collaborative Creative Arts faculty. The successful candidate will provide day-to-day instructional support across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, focusing on fine art, mixed media, digital illustration, and art history critique. Responsibilities will include maintaining student progress records, updating school tracking systems, managing departmental correspondence, supporting attendance administration, and assisting with the organisation of student art exhibitions, local gallery visits, and community creative workshops.

You will also support communication with parents, students, and external creative partners while ensuring that information is handled professionally and safely at all times. Strong organisational skills are essential, as the role requires the ability to coordinate events, manage art studio inventory tracking, and balance multiple coursework portfolios within a busy school environment.

The school is looking for someone who is proactive, reliable, and comfortable navigating creative content platforms and digital portfolio design tools. Good IT skills and communication capabilities are important, alongside a passion for student artistic expression.

Requirements
