We are seeking a Maths ECT to join an 11–16 Ofsted Good secondary school in Essex from January 2026. This is a permanent position, ideal for a trainee currently completing their ITT and looking for a secure, nurturing first role.

The Role- Position: Maths ECT
- Location: Essex
- Start Date: January 2026
- Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
As our Maths ECT, you will:
- Teach Maths across KS3 and KS4.
- Follow well-structured schemes of work with plenty of shared resources.
- Receive a reduced teaching timetable and protected ECT time.
- Work closely with an experienced ECT mentor and Head of Department.
- Contribute to Maths intervention, revision sessions and clubs as you grow in confidence.
- Currently training towards QTS (or recently qualified).
- Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for Maths.
- Reflective, organised and open to feedback.
- Committed to building positive relationships and high expectations.
- A supportive ECT programme with regular observations and coaching.
- Clear progression routes within the department and wider school.
- Collaborative planning to help manage workload.
- Friendly colleagues and a positive staff culture.
- Good transport links within Essex and nearby areas.
