Site Manager

A thriving Secondary School in the London Borough of Enfield is seeking an experienced and proactive Site Manager to oversee the day-to-day management of its premises on a full-time, permanent basis.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced facilities professional who takes pride in maintaining high standards and creating a safe, secure and welcoming environment for students, staff and visitors. You will lead the premises team and ensure the school site operates efficiently throughout the year.

You will oversee planned preventative maintenance, reactive repairs, site security, contractor management, cleaning services and health and safety compliance. Working closely with the School Business Manager and Senior Leadership Team, you will ensure the school remains fully compliant with statutory regulations while continually improving the quality of the site's facilities.

Responsibilities include supervising the premises team, managing maintenance schedules, overseeing contractor performance, coordinating servicing programmes, monitoring health and safety inspections and maintaining accurate compliance documentation.

You will also ensure school facilities are prepared for examinations, open evenings, performances, sporting fixtures and community lettings while managing premises budgets and identifying opportunities for future site improvements.

The successful candidate will possess excellent leadership skills, strong organisational abilities and previous experience managing school or commercial premises.

Requirements

  • Previous Site Manager or Premises Manager experience

  • Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation

  • Experience managing contractors and maintenance programmes

  • Excellent leadership and organisational skills

  • Good practical maintenance knowledge

  • Budget management experience desirable

  • Commitment to maintaining a safe and secure learning environment
