We are looking for a compassionate, reliable, and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a warm, inclusive, and supportive Primary School in Enfield. This long-term role involves providing one-to-one support for a pupil with additional learning needs, who may at times display challenging behaviour. The successful candidate will be patient, understanding, and committed to helping young learners grow academically, socially, and emotionally. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide one-to-one support to a pupil with special educational needs, ensuring they feel engaged, safe, and supported throughout the school day.
  • Build strong, positive relationships that encourage confidence, independence, and progress.
  • Assist the class teacher with daily activities and contribute to maintaining a calm, inclusive classroom environment.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of a wide range of needs, from mild to more complex.
  • Follow EHCP targets and work closely with the SENCO to deliver consistent, tailored support.
  • Work flexibly across EYFS to KS2 as required.
  • Previous experience supporting SEND pupils or working within SEND settings (school-based or similar environments).
  • A calm, patient, and empathetic approach with the ability to build trust and rapport.
  • The right to work in the UK.
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Two professional references.
