An Outstanding Secondary School in Enfield is looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Science Technician to join its Science Department on a full-time, permanent basis from October 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity for a practical and organised individual who enjoys working in a laboratory environment and wants to play an important role in supporting high-quality Science teaching across the school.
The Role
You will work closely with Science teachers to ensure practical lessons are well prepared, safe and engaging. Your responsibilities will include:

Preparing equipment, chemicals and materials for practical lessons

Supporting Biology, Chemistry and Physics across KS3 and KS4
-
Setting up demonstrations and experiments before lessons
-
Maintaining and organising laboratories and equipment
-
Monitoring stock levels and ordering resources when required

Ensuring appropriate health and safety procedures are followed

Carrying out routine checks and maintaining accurate records

Supporting teachers and students during practical activities
About You
The successful candidate will be organised, practical and confident working independently. Previous experience as a Science Technician, Laboratory Technician or within a scientific setting would be advantageous, although relevant practical experience will also be considered.
You should have a good understanding of laboratory safety, strong attention to detail and a genuine interest in supporting students with their Science education.
