A friendly and well-established primary school in Enfield is looking to appoint an experienced Office Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of its busy school office. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised, approachable and proactive administrator who enjoys working in a varied role. As the first point of contact for parents, visitors and staff, you'll play a vital part in ensuring the school operates efficiently while providing a warm and professional service to the whole school community.
What you'll be doing
- Leading the day-to-day management of the school office and supervising administrative staff.
- Managing pupil and staff records using the school's Management Information System (MIS).
- Coordinating admissions, attendance and general school administration.
- Supporting finance processes, including purchase orders, invoices and budget administration.
- Preparing correspondence, newsletters and communications for parents and staff.
- Liaising with external agencies, suppliers and contractors.
- Ensuring compliance with GDPR, safeguarding procedures and school policies.
- Supporting the organisation of school events, meetings and inspections.
What we're looking for
- Previous experience in an Office Manager or senior administrative role, ideally within a school.
- Experience using school MIS software such as Arbor, SIMS, Bromcom or similar.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise a varied workload.
- A friendly, professional approach with excellent communication skills.
- The ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- A proactive attitude and a willingness to support the wider life of the school.
