Good financial management gives schools the freedom to focus on what matters most β€” their students. An Outstanding secondary school in Enfield is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join its business support team on a full-time, permanent basis from September 2026.

This is a senior finance position offering the opportunity to take ownership of the school's day-to-day financial operations while working closely with senior leaders on budgeting, forecasting and longer-term financial planning.

The Role

You'll oversee the school's financial processes, ensuring strong controls, accurate reporting and effective use of resources.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing annual budgets, forecasts and financial planning

  • Preparing monthly management accounts and financial reports

  • Monitoring expenditure and identifying budget variances

  • Overseeing invoices, purchase orders and supplier payments

  • Managing cash flow and reconciliations

  • Supporting payroll and pension processes

  • Coordinating audit requirements and maintaining financial compliance

  • Advising senior leaders on financial decisions and resource allocation
