A secondary academy in Huntingdon requires an English Teacher for a temporary full-time autumn-term position.
You will teach KS3 and GCSE English, with responsibility for planning purposeful lessons, monitoring progress and giving clear feedback. The school is keen to appoint someone who can establish routines quickly and help students become more confident readers and writers.
The curriculum includes fiction, poetry, drama, non-fiction and media texts. Teachers are encouraged to use debate, guided reading and structured writing activities to help pupils develop their own voice.
A relevant degree and teaching experience are preferred, but the school will consider strong candidates who can demonstrate effective subject knowledge and classroom management.
