An established, Outstanding Ofsted-rated Secondary School in Brent, North West London, renowned for its supportive ECT induction program and exceptional science results, is seeking an ECT of Chemistry to join their permanent, full-time faculty, starting January 2026.

Compensation & Contract

  • Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
  • Start Date: January 2026
  • Salary: Paid on the Inner/Outer London Teachers' Pay Scales (M1), commensurate with statutory allowances.

The Role

The successful ECT of Chemistry will teach KS3 Science and Chemistry up to GCSE, delivering engaging, high-quality lessons. The ECT of Chemistry will receive a dedicated mentor and fully participate in the school’s excellent professional development program. This role offers a statutory reduced timetable, ensuring the ECT of Chemistry has ample non-contact time for planning and training. We expect the ECT of Chemistry to contribute positively to the Science department and wider school life.

Requirements

  • A relevant degree in Chemistry or a closely related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) expected by January 2026, or currently undergoing training.
  • A commitment to structured professional growth and a passion for inspiring students in science.
